Dogs put best paw forward

Up to 28,000 dogs and their carers began competing in the 120th annual Crufts show yesterday.
The four-day competition is being held at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.
Crufts, which began in 1891, is being screened on More4 after the BBC pulled out of covering the event in 2009. This followed a documentary alleging that dogs on show suffer from genetic diseases due to years of inbreeding. More than 21,000 dogs will compete for the title of Best in Show, which will be awarded on Sunday.
The Best in Show prize has been awarded for 83 years, to 41 different breeds.
