AN incident involving a Gulfstream G550 has caused delays at London’s Stansted airport, it confirmed today.
While the aircraft landed safely, the incident resulted in some damage to its Instrument Landing System.
“As a result of this incident and low visibility there have been restrictions on arriving flights,” the airport said in a statement.
“However, the fog has now lifted and arriving flights are now being accepted.
“Departing flights are unaffected at this time but there could be delays and cancellations later in the day as a result of the earlier disruption to inbound aircraft.”
The airport is advising fliers to check their flight status on airlines websites.
