IT'S a surefire midweek pick up - as a German zoo has unveiled brand new twin polar bear cubs.

The twin cubs were seen playing outside their enclosure at Tierpark Hellabrunn in Munich, Germany.

The 14 week-old cubs born to mother Giovanna and have yet to be named.

They could be the latest celebrity polar bears in the country - Knut the polar bear shot to fame in 2006.

He became popular after he was rejected by his mother at birth.

He unexpectedly died at the age of four.

His death was caused by drowning after he collapsed into his enclosure's pool while suffering from encephalitis.
