Crowning moment: Still jaunty at 85

TOP marks to the queen for her jaunty, primrose yellow silk wool coat and fetching hat with silk roses and apricot leaves. It's hard to believe she's 85.

Her collarless coat was created by her long-standing designer, Angela Kelly from Liverpool, who has moved the monarch out of her 'sweet pea' palette and into strong colours in recent years.

The coat featured lovely details such as hand beading at the neck in the shape of sunrays and the dress was made from the same wool crepe. Ms Kelly also made the queen's hat.

Ms Kelly has been described as the queen's personal assistant and 'gatekeeper'. She will undoubtedly be largely responsible for the queen's wardrobe when she comes to Ireland next month.
