CCTV footage obtained by The Associated Press shows two tanks running over a man in quick succession during Friday's failed military coup in Turkey.
It shows the man run from across the road, hurling objects at the tank as it approaches at full speed.
At the last moment, the man dives to the ground between the tank's tracks, as the driver slams on the brakes.
A soldier on the top of the tank briefly looks around for the man, who is lying underneath, before the tank slowly drives off again.
Miraculously, the man emerges from the other side apparently unharmed.
As he clambers to his feet another tank comes speeding along the road, and, in an attempt to stop the tank, he raises his hand.
Unbelievably, the tank ploughs on, forcing the man to dive under it.
As the tank pulls away, the man is seen lying prostrate on the tarmac as a crowd of people run towards him.
After lying motionless for several tense seconds, the man is eventually pulled to his feet by the group.
Despite the double close call, the man survived.
Officials on Wednesday raised the death toll from the violence surrounding the coup attempt to 240 government supporters with at least 24 coup plotters also killed.
In the days after the attempted coup, authorities have rounded up close to 9,000 people, including 115 generals, 350 officers and some 4,800 other military personnel, for alleged involvement in the coup attempt.
