Charlotte's a picture, while mum's gone Vogue
New photographs of Princess Charlotte, taken by her mother the Duchess of Cambridge at their home in Norfolk, have been released to mark her first birthday today.
The four new pictures offer an intimate snapshot of how the young princess has grown up during her first 12 months.
Meanwhile, the British edition of 'Vogue' will mark its 100th anniversary with a portrait of Kate Middleton looking relaxed in the countryside. The Duchess chose a casual look for her first ever cover shoot for 'Vogue'. The magazine is publishing a series of images of Kate, shot by photographer Josh Olins, in its June edition.
Some of them will be shown in Britain's National Portrait Gallery.
Kensington Palace said that Kate "hopes people appreciate the portraits with the sense of relaxed fun with which they were taken".
The casual clothes and setting provide a contrast to the more formal portraits commonly produced of senior royal figures.
