Catholic bishop fined €10,000 for Holocaust denial
A Catholic bishop was convicted of denying the Holocaust by a German court yesterday, writes Adam Scales.
The court in the Bavarian city of Regensburg found ultra-conservative British cleric Richard Williamson guilty of incitement for saying in an interview with Swedish television that he did not believe Jews were killed in gas chambers during World War Two.
The court fined him €10,000.
He was barred by his order from attending the hearing.
