A man has been charged with the murder of a celebrity minder who was stabbed to death, Scotland Yard said.
Tommy Roome, 19, was charged with the murder of Ricky Hayden during an attack outside his home in Chadwell Heath, east London, last week.
He was also charged with the attempted murder of Mr Hayden's father, Paul, 54, who was also injured in the attack in the early hours of September 13.
The victims had confronted a gang of up to four men attempting to steal a moped after hearing a disturbance outside their home.
Ricky Hayden, 27, was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The Havering Council employee had also worked in security at ITV and acted as a bodyguard for high-profile celebrities including footballer Peter Crouch and model Abbey Clancy.
Three teenagers, one aged 16 and two aged 19, were arrested following the attack and were later bailed, police said.
Roome, of Rams Grove in Romford, will appear in court in police custody next week.
