Hundreds evacuated by armed police in busy London station due to reports of man with knife on train
Hundreds of commuters were evacuated from Fenchurch Street Station in central London by armed police earlier this evening due to reports of a man armed with a knife on one of the trains.
Shortly after 7:00pm, rail operators c2c reported that the station had been closed due to a "police incident."
The British Transport police have since tweeted that there were unconfirmed reports of a man on a train, however the station is now safe and no one matching the report was found.
A video posted on Twitter by Caroline Green shows bewildered commuters waiting outside the station as police deal with the incident.
