Boy (7) in need of cancer treatment is found safe

A SEVEN-year-old boy urgently needing cancer treatment who went missing with his mother has been found safe and well.

British police launched a hunt for Neon Roberts (pictured) after he disappeared from Devon with his mother, Sally Roberts, on Monday.

It is believed Ms Roberts is opposed to further treatment for her son, who has recently had surgery for a brain tumour.

Police confirmed that the boy, who is subject to a Family Court order, was found by officers in Sussex.

A statement on the Devon and Cornwall police website said: "Neon's welfare will be considered in the High Court.

"Devon and Cornwall Police would like to thank the public, the media and our colleagues in Sussex for their assistance in securing Neon's safe recovery."
