Boy (15) accused of holding up bank

A 15-year-old is to appear in court charged with armed robbery following a hold up at a bank.

The teenager was arrested after a branch of a Barclays bank in Breck Road, Liverpool, was held up just after 11.50am on Friday.

He is due to appear before Liverpool Youth Court today.

Police said the alleged robber entered the bank and threatened staff with a gun before fleeing with cash.

Bank staff were unhurt but have been left distressed by their ordeal, police added.
