Bodies may have been buried alive in Budapest - investigation
Hungarian police have launched a criminal investigation after they discovered several bodies buried on an island in Budapest.
But daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet has reported that they bodies may have been buried alive.
According to the report, police were tipped off by a man who escaped after being buried up to his chest.
The police were led to a forest in Csepel port by a Serbian loan shark who was a suspect of the crime.
While some of those buried may still be alive they have not been found yet.
Police believe three people including the Serb national are involved.
They also suspect the involvement of a Hungarian couple in what is also being described as a murder investigation.
Reports vary but between four and six victims have been seen.
It is understood the assailants also stole their ATM cards and PIN codes before burying them.
