At €120, the price of this burger is a real whopper
Forget your BigMac or Whopper, a burger for true connoisseurs has gone on the sale in the UK -- but at £95 (€120) it may be a bit too rich for most fast-food aficionados.
Touted as the most expensive in the world, Burger King's new sandwich contains Wagyu beef with white truffles in an Iranian saffron and truffle bun.
It is challenging Guinness World Record history by beating an American Double Truffle Burger which cost £65 (€82) in 1994.
Named The Burger, it combines Japanese beef with white truffles, Cristal champagne onion straws, Pata Negra ham drizzled in Modena balsamic vinegar, organic white wine and shallot-infused mayonnaise and Himalayan rock salt.
The company said The Burger, which went on sale at Burger King's Gloucester Road branch in London yesterday, can be ordered through a Burger King hotline.
