A former accountant who turned his home into a brothel was caught in the act when police swooped and found him naked in bed with his Chinese mistress surrounded by cash.
Leslie Baleham, 64, was jailed for a year after raking in thousands after turning his home in Radford, Notts, into a den for sexual encounters.
Police counted more than 400 punters visiting the brothel during three months, which earned Baleham more than £57,000 (€67,000).
When investigators raided the brothel, they discovered the married accountant in bed with his Chinese madame Ping Ping Li with cash strewn across the bed sheets.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that Li, who had been having a relationship with Baleham, fled after he was arrested and has not been seen since.
The court was told that Baleham had been "smitten" with his younger woman - who was the main player in running the brothel.
Adrian Reynolds, prosecuting, said: "Never was the relationship between sex and money more clearly to be seen."
The pair, who ran the brothel for two years, had a joint bank account and had paid in £57,000 (€67,000) - including £7,000 (€8,000) he had made in rent.
Harry Bowyer, mitigating, told the court that Baleham was not involved in the day-to-day running of the brothel, and was effectively just a landlord.
He said: "Baleham felt he was having a relationship with her. Now he feels he has been used by her. He is now divorced from his wife."
Baleham pleaded guilty to keeping a brothel and two charges of money-laundering on the basis he only discovered it was operating as a brothel last January.
Judge John Burgess said: "The evidence shows you were involved in the running of a successful and busy brothel that in the space of a few weeks had 400 men visiting it."
A hearing to discuss dealing with the financial aspects of the case and whether Baleham's money could be confiscated under proceeds of crime legislation has been adjourned.
Last month, it emerged that businessman Ian Barnett, 59, earned around £6.2m (€7.3m) from a string of brothels. His wife Michelle, 58, drove a £20,000 (€24,000) X-type Jaguar while he had a Rolls-Royce with a £40,000 (€48,000) personalised numberplate.
The couple lived in a £500,000 (€590,000) home in an exclusive neighbourhood on the outskirts of Manchester.
Hundreds of brothels in the UK are run by madams who use women often trafficked for the purpose by people smugglers from eastern Europe or Asia.
