Abba singer Agnetha to release new album

Gillian Orr

Agnetha Faltskog, right, or "the blonde one from Abba", is to release her first album in almost a decade.

Simply entitled 'A', the album will be out in May.

Her official website states that it will feature a duet with Gary Barlow and the record is the result of a collaboration with Jorgen Elofsson, who has worked with Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Jedward.

Abba have sold 370 million albums and singles, and disbanded in 1982. Since then, Faltskog has gained a reputation for being a recluse.

Her new single, 'When You Really Loved Someone', is no 'The Winner Takes It All', but should appease diehard Abba fans who await that elusive reunion.
