€78m lottery winnings about to go to waste

Time is running out for a missing £64m lottery winner in the UK to come forward and claim their prize.

The mystery multi-millionaire has until 11pm tonight to claim their £63,837,543.60 (around €78.5m) and, if they do not, their ticket will expire.

The ticket was bought in Hertfordshire,England for the EuroMillions draw on Friday, June 8. The numbers were 5, 11, 22, 34 and 40, and the Lucky Star numbers were 9 and 11.

The UK National Lottery has appealed for all lottery players to search some unusual places for 'lost' tickets.

According to anecdotal evidence, winning tickets have been discovered: in the make-up bag of a winner's secretary, under a fridge magnet and inside a tin of cat treats.
