£20,000 fine for takeaway boss who killed rat

WHEN a rat appeared in the New Chutney Express takeaway in Tooting, London, owner Rajakumar Rajalingam blud-geoned it to death in front of horrified inspectors, Kingston Crown Court heard.
More rats appeared, droppings were found on food shelves and gnawed chicken bones were also discovered. Rajalingam must pay £20,000 (€25,000) in fines and costs. (© Independent News Service)
