Depp and Paradis split after 13 years
ACTOR Johnny Depp and singer Vanessa Paradis have split up after 13 years, bringing one of showbusiness's most enduring romances to an end.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star began dating the French singer in 1998.
The pair have two children together, Lily-Rose (12) and Jack (9), but have never married.
According to reports, Mr Depp's huge success has caused tension in the relationship.
"Vanessa went seven years between albums, and several years between film projects, while he became Captain Jack Sparrow (from 'Pirates of the Caribbean')," said a source.
The couple last walked a red carpet together at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.
Last November, Ms Paradis opted to attend a concert on the night of Mr Depp's Paris premiere for 'The Rum Diary'.
"It was weird and pretty clear. You're in town and don't go to the premiere of your husband's film?" a source said.
