'At least' 17 killed in India road crash
A speeding bus has crashed into two cars in western India killing at least 17 people and injuring 35 others, police said.
The bus struck the cars while they were parked on the side of the Navi Mumbai road to fix a flat tyre. All three vehicles fell into a ditch with the impact of the crash, said police constable Sanjay Shetge.
Villagers and police climbed into the ditch and helped rescue the injured and ferry them to nearby hospitals.
Mr Shetge said the death toll was expected to rise as many of the injured were in a critical condition. The driver of the bus was among those killed.
Navi Mumbai is about 20 miles east of Mumbai, India's financial hub.
