Video: Outlaw Kelly is laid to rest after 133 years

Some 133 years after his hanging, Australia's most famous outlaw, Ned Kelly, was finally given a funeral.

Kelly, the son of Tipperary-born John 'Red' Kelly, was hanged at the Old Melbourne Gaol in 1880.

Against his final wishes to be buried on "consecrated ground", he was buried in an unmarked grave.

Hundreds of family members, relatives, and members of the public attended a requiem Mass for Kelly at St Patrick's Catholic Church at Wangaratta.

Brendan Cooke, Kelly's great- great-grand-nephew, said he was proud of being able to finally fulfil Kelly's wish.
