Police officer dies after gang-rape demonstrations in India
A police officer injured in clashes with protesters in India against the brutal gang-rape of a woman on a moving bus has died in hospital.
Police have filed murder charges against some protesters.
Authorities have sealed off a high-security zone in the Indian capital New Delhi for a second day to put an end to a week of demonstrations.
With police blocking roads in the centre of the city, dozens of demonstrators gathered at a venue less than a mile from the parliament building on Monday to press the Indian government to ensure the security of women.
The demonstrations have continued despite promises by the government that it will consider protesters' demands that all six suspects who have been arrested following last Sunday's attack face the death penalty.
