Miracle dog survives three weeks at sea
This is the miracle dog that was rescued yesterday after spending three weeks at sea in the wake of Japan's massive earthquake and tsunami of March 11.
A coastguard rescue team spotted the resilient canine trotting around the roof of a house that was swept out to sea. Local television showed an aerial view of a brown medium-sized dog on the roof -- the only part of the house floating above water -- before it disappeared inside through a broken section of the roof.
A coastguard rescue worker was lowered from a helicopter to transport the animal to safety by boat.
