New photos have been released of the rarely-seen North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

The photographs show the secret state's leader visiting the Samjiyon County in the north of the country.

North Korean news agency KCNA released the undated photos to agencies on Monday morning.

Kim Jong-Un is seen hugging children during his visit. The images show children surrounding him in the classroom, many of the overwhelmed students visibly emotional.

The leader was surrounded by his aides as he was shown the province's sights.

The photographs are released as Jong-Un featured in news reports which claimed he has ordered scientists to develop a new sex potion for North Korean men.

The medicine will be to enhance the sexual prowess of men in the secret state, but Jong-Un expects it to become a hit elsewhere.

It is reported the potion is made from sea urchins.
