Australian police launch massive missing child search in ‘strikingly similar’ case to Madeleine
AUSTRALIAN police have launched a massive search for a missing girl, in a case which bares striking similarities to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Three-year-old Chloe Campbell vanished from her home on Ridgeway Street in Queensland, sometime before 7am.
Her father Garth reported her missing after he couldn’t find her when he got up this morning.
A forensic examination of the scene found an adult footprint on a car outside the home – which police believe could have been used to boost an intruder in through an open window.
A massive search operation has been launched by local police, with sniffer dogs and police helicopters equipped with night vision combing the area.
The Queensland Police Service said in a statement: "Chloe is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with fair shoulder-length hair and around 100cm tall.
"Police would also like to clarify that Chloe was last seen wearing yellow pants with love hearts on them and a white-coloured shirt with butterflies and bees pictured on the front.
"Chloe could also be carrying a blue soft toy and a grey blanket."
Police have sealed off an area at a nearby show ground as part of the investigation.
Chloe’s distraught parents have asked the community to pray for her safe return.
