Women 'feel more confident in red'

A survey by the British Heart Foundation has found that women feel more confident at work if they wear red

Women feel more confident at work if they wear red in the office, according to new research.

A study of more than 1,000 women by the British Heart Foundation found that almost two out of five believed wearing something red gave them increased confidence.

The report also found that clothes which women hated seeing colleagues wear included miniskirts, low-cut tops and hot pants.

The British Heart Foundation is urging workers to wear something red on February 1 as part of a series of events to highlight health issues.

Polly Shute, fundraising project director at the British Heart Foundation, said: "It seems that the fail-safe weapon at work for 2013 is the colour red."
