Thatcher 'most influential woman'
Former prime minister Margaret Thatcher has won another landslide almost 20 years after losing power.
She picked up almost a third of the votes (32%) in a survey to find the most influential woman in the world.
Baroness Thatcher came ahead of other pioneering females including Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa and Oprah Winfrey in the survey of more than 2,000 people. Supermodel Kate Moss came bottom of the poll with only 1% of the vote.
When asked what qualities made for an influential woman, almost two-thirds (62%) said commitment was key, but hard work, intelligence and independence were also picked out.
Carla Bevan, editor in chief of the website MyDaily, which commissioned the survey, said: "It is encouraging to see that the modern-day woman looks for determination, independence and personal achievement as key characteristics in women."
A total of 2,048 people took part in the survey which was carried out online by YouGov.
