Tess Daly is tasty in fruity frock
Tess Daly proves she is the cream of the crop in an edible dress made from cereal.
The Strictly Come Dancing presenter teamed up with designer Petra Storrs - who has dressed stars including Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Florence Welch - to create the fruity frock from wheat, red apples and vanilla pods with almonds, flowers and blossoms.
The gown was created to celebrate the launch of Daly's very own Special K recipe in her role as celebrity ambassador for the brand.
She said: "I was amazed at the result Petra achieved - I never dreamed she'd create something so uniquely beautiful. To have been allowed a hand in the design process was a great experience - I love fashion, and I love food - what a perfect combination of the two!"
The design includes 4,000 stalks of braided wheat which make up the shoulders, bodice and skirt, 500 whole almonds which have been hand-sewn together for the bodice and a f ishtail train made from 450 whole red apples.
Storrs said: "I've created some weird and wonderful things in my time but to make a dress 100% out of the ingredients of a cereal recipe was a huge challenge and involved a lot of hard work. Thankfully Tess and I shared a vision of what we wanted to achieve and it was great working with her to achieve this stunning result."
