Teenage cyclists 'held on to train'

British Transport Police warned youngsters that so-called train surfing is 'incredibly dangerous'

Two teenagers have been reported to Scotland's procurator fiscal after allegedly holding on to a train while riding bikes as it pulled out of a station.

An appeal was made after CCTV footage caught two youths apparently holding on to door handles and being pulled along the platform at Kingussie station in the Highlands on January 8.

British Transport Police said the action, known as surfing, is "incredibly dangerous".

Two 14-year-old boys have been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident, a force spokesman said.
