Going to a T20 cricket match brings its own unique threats, with sixes raining down on fans more frequently and from more angles than other formats of the game.

And if you were in the hospitality section for Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast game against Sussex at Hove, you might have been well served to have taken a helmet.

That’s because during Sussex’s innings of 169 for seven, which wasn’t enough to beat Hampshire’s 188 for three, Chris Nash and David Wiese seemed magnetically drawn to the hospitality section.

Someone move the crockery to a secure location.

Less throwing the kitchen sink at it, more throwing it at the kitchen sink, eh? Can we get a Hawkeye ruling on that to see which kitchen appliance was struck?

Yes, it seems nowhere and nothing is safe at a cricket ground, especially not this man’s beer.

The next round’s on Wiese, surely?
