People in Mexico's capital have been captivated by a circular solar halo in the skies above the city's most famous monument, the Angel of Independence.
Mexico's National Weather Service explained that the halo was a luminous photo-meteor ring, a fairly common weather phenomenon caused by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.
Local media reported that the natural phenomenon was seen in three cities.
