A man has been arrested after leading police on a two-hour chase that at times involved the car crawling slowing along a major road from Fort Worth to Arlington.
Police stopped a car on Wednesday as part of a drugs investigation, but when the female driver got out of the vehicle and co-operated with police her passenger allegedly slid into the driver's seat and drove off.
Despite the car crawling along at a very slow speed with its hazard lights on for several miles, mainly along a major interstate route, police only stopped the white car once an armoured police vehicle joined the pursuit.
The armoured truck managed to pushed the suspect's car into a concrete barrier before it span to a halt.
The suspect was surrounded by armed officers as he tried to climb out of a rear window.
Fort Worth police said after they seized more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, the suspect faces felony charges of evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
