Police officers have swapped their uniforms for more festive attire after hitting their target for Twitter followers.
Leicestershire Pc Joe Lloyd and police community support officer Jay Cooper pledged to dress as Santa and an elf if they could attract 700 followers to their beat's account.
Leicestershire Police Chief Constable Simon Cole retweeted their request to his more than 3,000 followers, and they hit the target in November.
Their first job in the festive uniforms was handing out presents to children with disabilities at a school on their patch in the town of Oakham, Rutland.
Pc Lloyd said: "It seemed like a fun way of increasing my number of followers.
"I think Jay was a little surprised to read on Twitter that he had to dress up as an elf but I knew he would rise to the challenge."
