A man who walked into a sheriff's department in Mississippi to apply for a job as a jailer, ended up in the jail - but as an inmate.

Ronald Wade, 31, was wanted in Florida on a warrant for driving under the influence-manslaughter.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Wade had been involved in a crash in Florida but was not arrested on the charge.

The initial background check revealed the warrant for his arrest and he was then arrested.

He will be returned to Florida.
