As Hyper Japan-mania reaches fever pitch this week, Domo, one of the internet's biggest superstars who isn't a Kardashian, has arrived in London to take in the sights before heading to the show.

Arriving at Paddington Station, Domo gets a hug from a policeman, then takes a walk across St James's Park where he high-fives fans and takes in the view of the London Eye.

Getting to the palace just in time for tea, Domo is clearly on his best behaviour - and hoping for an invitation to the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations which have just been announced for 2016.

Domo's unique look and personality as the mascot for Japanese public broadcaster NHK quickly catapulted the character into one of the Internet's biggest sensations.

Domo has found a home as a pop culture icon within the online viral community with hundreds of thousands of fan-made images, websites and videos posted to websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Flickr, among others.

Domo has 13m social media fans across the globe. Every minute, someone shares, likes or posts Domo's image.
