One For Arthur won the Grand National but the internet is celebrating a far greater victory

All the horses are safe!

One For Arthur and jockey Derek Fox put in an impressive performance to win the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree.

The victory gave Scotland only its second ever winner, following Rubstic in 1979.

But the internet appeared to be celebrating a different achievement at the UK’s biggest racing event – the fact that all the 40 racehorses returned safely at the end of the event, making it the fifth year in a row without fatalities.

Cause Of Causes came in second while the third spot was taken by Saint Are.
