Norway spy chief quits over gaffe
The head of Norway's intelligence service, Janne Kristiansen, is resigning from her post after apparently disclosing too much information during a hearing in parliament.
Justice Minister Grete Faremo said the PST-head informed her of her resignation and that it would have immediate effect.
She said it was during a hearing in parliament that Kristiansen "expressed herself in a way that could be interpreted as a breach of confidentiality".
Several Norwegian newspapers say Kristiansen made the gaffe when answering a question about Pakistan, revealing too much information concerning Norwegian intelligence activities in the country.
