Man 'sneakily cut bus woman's hair'
A man accused of sneakily snipping a fellow bus passenger's hair as he sat behind her on New Year's Eve is said to be a suspect in a number of similar incidents in Portland.
Jared Weston Walter pleaded not guilty at Multnomah County Circuit Court to third-degree robbery, interfering with public transit, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.
During the hearing, Deputy District Attorney Chuck French said the 22-year-old is a suspect in other incidents in which women passengers have either had their hair cut or glued on regional buses.
TriMet transit spokeswoman Bekki Witt said three such cases have been reported in recent weeks.
The Oregonian reported Walter has an outstanding warrant on an assault charge in King County, Washington, in connection with a hair-gluing incident.
