Lost items filed under 'baffling'
Wimbledon organisers have revealed some of the weird and wonderful items lost by tennis fans at the All England Club.
A prosthetic limb, a Christmas pudding and a Danger Mouse costume were among the items filed under "baffling" at Wimbledon's lost property office in previous years.
Over the last two weeks, tennis fans have lost 120 straw hats, 64 umbrellas and two different types of crutches.
The 950 lost items also included "boxloads" of sunglasses and spectacles, a charm from a bracelet and a £20 note.
Cameras and phones can be quickly reclaimed thanks to selfies because they can be used as the owner's proof of identity.
Items left unclaimed in left luggage are taken to the lost property office, filling the storage room with tents, camping chairs, footballs, rugs and picnic coolers.
Any lost property can be claimed up until November, at which time they are recycled for charity by the Wimbledon Foundation.
Last year more than 60 pairs of glasses left at the All England Club were sent to Vision Aid Overseas, an international charity dedicated to transforming access to eye care in developing countries.
