Identical twin brothers are celebrating identical A-level results - and will both travel to the University of Bath to study the same subject.
Rory and Ryan Doolan opened their results together at the Coleg y Cymoedd in Nantgarw, South Wales, on Thursday morning to discover they had both achieved AAB and A* grades in maths, geography, physics and the Welsh baccalaureate.
After realising he and his brother had secured the grades they needed, Rory, of Hirwaun, said: "I'm really pleased with my results, but I didn't expect that we'd get the same marks.
"Ryan and I have always had similar interests and enjoyed the same subjects, but the fact that we both decided to study the same course at university was a coincidence."
The 18-year-olds will now be heading to their first choice university to study civil engineering.
Ryan added: "Going to the same university just makes sense - we've always studied together and helped each other, and that's the plan for university. Neither of us have spent much time in Bath and we're looking forward to exploring the city."
