Google users in a flap over gull
Eagle-eyed Google users got themselves into a flap over this bizarre image of a seagull.
The picture appears on Street View, which is created by "stitching" a series of still images together.
The bird swooped at the vital moment as cameras mounted on a car took shots of John Street in Brighton, East Sussex.
The gull appeared to have lost half its wing as it flew along carrying food.
Google communications manager Laura Scott said: "The cameras that we use on top of the cars take a series of pictures as they move along.
"Afterwards we stitch those pictures together. What sometimes happens is that a little bit is missing, especially if something moves.
"When an object moves very fast, like a bird on the run with its food, there might be an anomaly with the picture."
