Flight axed over mouse in pantry
A Nepal Airlines flight has been cancelled after cabin crew spotted a mouse in the pantry of the plane.
The flight to Bangkok was axed, the passengers evacuated and the Boeing 757 was towed to a hangar so the rodent could be hunted.
Airline spokesman Raju KC said the mouse is believed to have boarded the plane at the Katmandu airport through a food catering truck. He said the animal darted out of the pantry towards the back of the plane, where it remained unnoticed by the few passengers who had boarded.
The cabin crew unsuccessfully looked for the mouse and then decided to cancel the flight and perform a more thorough search. The airline spokesman said the plane will not be used again until the mouse is found.
