Escaped cow causes motorway beef

Drivers could be forgiven for having a beef about traffic delays after a cow caused disruption on Britain's busiest motorway.
The creature got on to the hard shoulder of the M25 between junction 5, near Sevenoaks in Kent, and junction six, near Godstone in Surrey, during the morning rush hour.
While traffic officers brought cars to a halt, the cow was coaxed back into its field while repairs were carried out at the spot the creature had got out.
"The farmer took the other cows out of the field while the repairs were being done," a Highways Agency spokesman said.
