Drivers desklocked by student demo
Students protesting about neglected poorer schools have taken to the streets of Los Angeles - bringing their desks with them.
Around 375 empty desks stopped traffic for several hours outside the Los Angeles Unified School District offices.
Organisers say the number represents how many students drop out of the district's schools each week.
Protesters want a student voice on the school board and more funding for English language learners, foster children and low-income students.
District authorities declined to comment on the protest.
