Clegg bets £50 on Deputy PM return
Nick Clegg has put his money where his mouth is, wagering £50 he will be returning to government as Deputy Prime Minister after the General Election.
He placed his bet with LBC presenter Nick Ferrari, who has for the past two-and-a-half years hosted his weekly Call Clegg radio phone-in.
With the polls suggesting the Liberal Democrats will lose seats on May 7, Mr Ferrari said he feared Mr Clegg may not be returning and offered him "a 50 euro or a £50 wager" that he would no longer be Deputy Prime Minister.
Mr Clegg replied: "I want to take more of your money off you so we'll do it in pounds. We have a £50 bet."
