Watch: Is this the worst airport security line in the world?
Airport security can be horrible at the best of times, but this video really needs to be seen to be believed.
It was filmed at Chicago’s Midway Airport by YouTube user Sean H.
His video of a hellish queue has been viewed over 1.2m times
When you first watch it, nothing seems out of the ordinary.
However, when the person filming starts walking backwards, you see the line stretching out, seemingly to infinity.
It looks like it would take absolutely ages to get to the front of that queue.
Wouldn't it be horrible if you had a connecting flight?
People commenting seemed shocked by the queue.
Dropped60 joked on Reddit: "That line goes all the way to O'Hare."
Another Reddit user said it took him almost two hours to get through when he queued at the airport.
Reporters from ABC7 Chicago said they spoke to passengers who had spent an hour trying to get through the gates.
TSA Secretary Jeh C. Johnson has said the company is increasing staffing to deal with the problem with long airport security lines around the country.
He said: "TSA Administrator Admiral Neffenger and I are acutely aware of the significant increase in travelers and longer wait times at airports, and their projected growth over the summer. With this in mind, and given the current threat environment, last month I directed TSA to take a number of steps."
