A WOMAN has been forced to stand in public holding a sign saying she’s an idiot after been caught on camera driving on a footpath to pass a schoolbus unloading children.
A judge in Cleveland ordered 32-year-old Shena Hardin to serve the sentence for one hour yesterday and today for the offence on September 11.
The sign reads: "Only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."
Hardin wore warm clothes against the freezing temperatures and wore headphones as motorists beeped her.
TV stations broadcast the humiliation live in downtown Cleveland.
Hardin refused to say anything as her mother watched from a parked car.
Hardin lost her licence for 30 days and was ordered to pay $250 in costs.
