VIDEO: Police arrest 50 as Occupy Wall Street protestors move back into Zuccotti Park reporters

US POLICE have made 50 arrests as hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protesters sat on the ground and blocked traffic in New York’s financial district.

At least four police were injured during the confrontations which involved hundreds of demonstrators who are protesting against the financial system, according to local reports.

"All day, all week, shut down Wall Street!" the protesters shouted.

The majority of protesters moved to Zuccotti Park after they were pulled to their feet by police.

However, most of the arrests were traffic disruption rather than violence.
