IT’S not often a movie stuntman becomes a real-life hero – after they all they make Hollywood stars look good.
However, three stuntmen saved the day yesterday after saving a woman from jumping from a balcony.
The three men were getting ready for scenes in film ‘Kick-Ass 2’ which is being shot in San Diego.
The were putting up scaffolding when they heard screaming and yelling.
Gregg Sargeant, owner and stunt coordinator for Los Angeles-based Stunts 911-Action Sequence Technologies said: "We raced upstairs, crashed into the room and I sneaked up behind her.
“She was hanging by her two arms and I grabbed her. My two guys came in and roped her up. She was crying, upset, pretty out of it."
Sargeant said he and his crew arrived just in time.
“I was just so thankful we got there when we got there,” he said.
“I think if we'd been there two seconds later, she would've been gone.”
San Diego police Lieutenant Kevin Mayer said the woman was devastated over the breakup of a relationship and had been drinking alone in the apartment.
Fortunately the woman was dragged to safety and was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
