SINGER Bette Midler has given an emotional performance of ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ to a cancer sufferer.
The Hollywood icon made an emotional call to Anna Greenberg and said, "You know you're such an angel, you're such a wonderful soul"
Through laboured breathing, Anna gives an update on her condition, "They're keeping me out of pain, they have me on alot of Morphine"
She had already had a dream come true meeting Bette in person.
Midler asks if there is anything that she can do for her, and in a tearful response Anna asks if she could fulfil one of her dreams and sing Wing Beneath My Wings.
Bette Midler takes no time to respond and starts to sing the song for the cancer sufferer.
During the song you can hear an emotional Midler getting through the song as Anna cries
Anna had been healthy and working for a cancer society, she had just lost 90 pounds and finished a half marathon, before being diagnosed with a cancerous tumour.
She then spent more than a year fighting the disease having 18 bouts of surgery, chemo and radiation.
However her condition got worse and she found herself in hospital.
Throughout her suffering Anna never lost her sense of humour and developed what she called 'Annatude' - optimism and being thankful.
