A US teenager has died after he apparently slipped and fell into a tree stump grinder.
Cody Bronnenberg, 18, suffered multiple traumatic injuries in the accident, which reportedly took place while he was helping his uncle clear trees.
He was pronounced dead at the scene according to the local coroner in Hartford City, which is around 80 miles to the northeast of Indianapolis in Indiana.
A spokesman for Blackford County Sherriff's office told local media Mr Bronnenberg slipped on the logs while working at Homeland Tree Service, which is owned by his uncle.
It is understood the teenager's uncle was operating the tree stump grinder when the tragic accident happened at around 4.30am local time.
A GoFund me page has since been set up to help cover the family's funeral costs.
"Losing your child to a tragic accident is horrible enough," Tonya Kirby Evans, who set up the page, wrote in an appeal.
"Adding that there is no insurance to cover funeral costs makes matters worse.
"Please help us raise the money to cover these costs.
"My sister is a single parent, and cannot afford the cost of burying her child."
As of Tuesday morning, the page had already raised more than $7,000 dollars, nearing its target of $10,000.
